Abstract
This study was conducted with the aim of developing a conceptual model of ambitiousness according to Islamic sources. The method employed, was qualitative content analysis of religious texts. For the purpose, first, the concepts and statements related to ambitiousness in Islamic sources were collected. The collected concepts and statements were examined using text pre-processing principles such as synonymy, polysemy, and semantic fields. Subsequently, the inferred content related to each statement was recorded in a form and presented to experts in a table format for content validity assessment. After receiving the experts' feedback and calculating the CVI and CVR, nine components ultimately obtained the required scores: (1) Rational Aspiration, (2) Purposeful foresightness, (3) Contemplation, (4) Awareness and Knowledge, (5) Drive for Progress, (6) Hopefulness, (7) Determination and Will, (8) Perseverance, and (9) Magnanimity. Finally, based on the obtained components, the conceptual model of ambitiousness was delineated and presented in a figure. The results of this research can be used for developing questionnaires and educational packages on ambitiousness in future studies.
