Examining and Explaining the Basics and Principles of Godly Oriented Parenting

Abstract

The idea of homogeneity of Western parenting with Islamic culture, and the lack of revelatory insight in the core action of the psychological system of parenting in today's human societies are among the most important roots that have shaken the personality of family members and jeopardized the intellectual development of children and human mental health. Insight into the principles and principles of Godly spiritual parenting from a revelation point of view will be the basis for correcting cognitive areas, the growth of good upbringing, the development of personality, and the improvement of the mental health of parents and children. Wisdom (core action in psychological system of parenting), spiritual-existential needs, the multidimensionality of human beings and the natural desire for spirituality, idealism and human’s free will are among these foundations, from each of which a number of educational principles are extracted and deduced. This study aims to explain these foundations and the principles extracted from them dealt with in religious texts. The method of this research was content analysis to analyze the foundations and principles of Godly oriented parenting from the descriptive-explanatory sentences of Islamic texts. The findings of this research include fourteen educational principles that are centered in Godly spiritual parenting system from the point of view of Islam, and are necessary to pay attention to in the education of children and to organize the knowledge, beliefs, emotions, feelings and morals of parents and children based on them.
