Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of teaching Islamic life skills on high-risk behaviors and resilience of high school students. The current research was applied research and in terms of method, it was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design and a control group. The statistical population includes all male high school students in Tehran, who are studying in the second secondary level of Tehran in the academic year of 1401-1402, 30 of them were selected as a sample and randomly divided into two experimental and control groups. They were placed and responded to Iranian adolescents' risk taking questionnaires by Zadeh Mohammadi et al. (1390) and Connor and Davidson's resilience (2003). Islamic life skills training sessions were conducted in eleven 70-minute sessions for the experimental group and the control group did not receive any training. Data analysis was done with the help of spss24 software and using univariate and multivariate analysis of covariance tests. The findings showed that there was a significant difference between the high-risk behaviors and resilience of secondary school students in both experimental and control groups at the 0.05 level, and it significantly reduced risky behaviors and increased resilience in students. The results showed the effectiveness of teaching Islamic life skills on high-risk behaviors and resilience of students.
