The Holy Quran presents conceptual and cognitive meanings in the area of human interaction with hardships, using the term "ZIQ(ضیق) " and other related words. These have significant psychological, functional, and important personal, social, worldly, and otherworldly consequences. The present study aims to make a conceptual model of "psychological constriction" based on the Holy Quran, using qualitative and quantitative methods. Collecting the Data began by exploring the semantic field of the word "ZIQ" (ضیق) in the Holy Quran and extracting seven keywords. Then, after selcting initial collection and refinement, 49 relevant verses, Related interpretations and Interpretive hadiths were analyzed using qualitative content analysis methods. The results were then validated quantitatively with the input of experts. The findings of this research indicated that: A)"psychological constriction" is a fundamental concept with two major causal conditions, three general context, and six consequences. B) Negative emotional state is the main component of "psychological constriction". C) Its main symptoms are constriction, instability, and negative emotional expressions. D) Its general contexts are: facing responsibility (task), adversity (difficulty), beliefs. E) The consequences of "psychological constriction" include limiting functionality, reducing resistance, Disruption of interpersonal relationships, Limiting the recognition of reality, Limiting acceptance of reality, and adhering to reality.F) This concept includes recognition, acceptance, and commitment to reality, applicable in Islamic psychotherapy and monotheistic education.
