The development of adolescent identity is one of the most challenging and at the same time crucial stages of human development that has a profound impact on the parenting process. The present study aims to explain and analyze the process of identity development and identify the main elements involved in it, and to examine this phenomenon from two perspectives: modern psychology and rich Islamic teachings. The central question of the research is: "What are the most important factors affecting the formation of adolescent identity and what are the consequences of having a normal identity?" This study, using the "qualitative and inferential content analysis" approach, has collected its data from various sources, including religious texts, psychological theories, library documents, and empirical research. The results of this study emphasize that achieving a normal identity during adolescence is of unparalleled importance, because it brings constructive and valuable effects in various aspects of adolescent life, including social, cultural, and family life. The key elements identified in the process of adolescent identity development include: family (especially the role of parents), peer group and friends, the educational system, cyberspace and digital technologies, and finally, authentic Islamic values and epistemological and monotheistic beliefs.
