Effectiveness of positive psychotherapy on emotional capital of women with marital conflicts

Abstract

The main aim of the present study was to determine the effectiveness of positive psychotherapy on social adaptation, cognitive flexibility and emotional capital  of women with marital conflicts in counseling centers in Qom. The current research method is semiexperimental with a pretest and posttest research design with a control group. The population included all the women who referred to counseling centers in Qom city in 1400 and 1401. The sample was randomly selected in the two groups of 15 people from women who referred to Farhan and Saman counseling centers in Qom city thorough purposeful assignment. They were  assigned   to the pretest and posttest stages and answered the  Golparvar's Emotional Capital  Scale(2017). The subjects of the experimental group received positivity training as a group, and the control group did not receive any training. The data are analyzed using SPSS software version 26 and using multivariate   and univariate Covaris analysis tests. The results of the research showed that positivity education increased the cognitive flexibility of women (P<0.05). Positivity training increased women's emotional capital (P<0.05). Also,
