Abstract

The present study aimed to design an educational package of God's positive attributes and its effectiveness on death anxiety dimensions among adolescent students. In the qualitative part, the method included theme analysis and content validity based on Waltz and Bausell's point of view. However, the experimental method with a pre-test-post-test design and control group was used in the quantitative part. The population included all the students of the first secondary school in Andimeshk during the academic year 2022-2023. A number of 40 students were selected using convenience sampling and randomly divided into two groups of 20, an experimental group, and a control group. The experimental group received the educational package of positive attributes during eight sessions of 45 minutes while the control group received no intervention. Both groups responded to Templar's death anxiety scale in the pre-test and post-test. The obtained data were analyzed by covariance analysis. The results of data analysis indicated that training based on positive attributes had a significant positive effect on death anxiety dimensions such as death fear and death-related thoughts. Nevertheless, its relationship was insignificant with the fear of pain, disease, fear of short time and life, as well as fear of the future.
