Construction and validation of Islamic self-control motivation questionnaire based on Islamic self-control model

Abstract

The present study was conducted with aim building and validating the Islamic self-control motivation questionnaire based on Islamic self-control model. The research method of research was grounding (survey) and the statistical population included people over 18 years old, , married and single in Qom city. total of 420 samples were selected using available sampling method. collect the data of research, Tanjani Self-Emigration Scale, Schmidt, Maldon and Ponder's Wisdom Scale and Islamic Self-Emigration Motivation Questionnaire were used, the results were obtained by applying the statistical methods of confirmatory factor analysis to check the construct validity, and the cvi index to check the content validity. The questionnaire, Cronbach's alpha coefficient was analyzed in order check the internal consistency of the questionnaire and the correlation between the questionnaires in order to check the convergent validity. Based on the findings of the research (1), the appropriateness indices of measurement model of the whole structure of self-control motivation showed that first and second order confirmatory factor analysis has good fit. (2) The questionnaire is valid. (3) The correlation of the Islamic self-control motivation variable with the variables of self-control and wisdom, the correlation between all components of variables is positive and significant, which indicates the convergent validity of self-control motivation questionnaire. This questionnaire has the ability to measure motivation of self-restraint with an Islamic attitude
