Non-verbal strategies in meeting the emotional needs of spouses according to Islamic sources

Abstract

Non-verbal relationships are one of the communication strategies that have a great effect on strengthening couples’ relationships. In Islamic teachings, attention has been paid to the non-verbal relations of spouses. This descriptive-analytical method has examined the effective non-verbal relationships of spouses in Islamic sources. Findings show that happy face, smile, physical and visual companionship and intimacy, giving gifts, welcoming spouse, having fun and traveling, helping with household chores, active listening, grooming, anger management and non-verbal sexual needs of spouses, including Effective non-verbal strategies in meeting the emotional needs of spouses from the perspective of Islamic sources.
