Designing Psychological Educational Package for Facilitating Juveniles’ Religious Identification and Investigating its Validity

Abstract

The present study aimed at designing a psychological educational package for juveniles’ religious identification and  evaluating its validity.  The study, has been developed using the qualitative method    of semantic domains. In this method, first, 8  main words were selected  in accordance with components of defininitoin of religious identity and  subcomponents of consciousness and self- monitoring. Then the keywords and concepts related to those  main words, were selected, and after that, using the Quran and Hadith software, 159 verses and hadiths related to those contents, were extracted and sieved with  porpusive sampling technique. Based on the analysis of these verses and traditions, the content of the educational sessions was  organized   according to their Islamic and psychological contents. To assess the validity of the package, contents of sessions were handed out to nine experts. Then   data analyzed, using the CVI formula and SPSS software.    In the end,  the educational package consists of eight sessions,  with a coefficient validity between 0.79 and 1.00 for sessions. Finally, the findings compared with the similar findings and were   analyzed on the basis of Islamic sources.
