Abstract

This research was done with the main goal of designing a spiritual self-esteem educational package with an Islamic approach and its feasibility in increasing mental well-being. In line with  the  goal, a mixed research approach was used, which includes qualitative techniques to analyze the content of Islamic sources and identify the key components of strengthening spiritual self-esteem. In the qualitative part, it led to the design and organization of nine training sessions, each of which examined and strengthened   different aspects of spiritual self-esteem. The content validity of  package was confirmed by experts. In the quantitative part,  The research has investigated the effectiveness of the educational package using an experimental design and random allocation with a statistical sample of 20 people into two control and experimental groups. To evaluate the effect of the package, Riff's psychological well-being questionnaire (1989) was used in two steps of pre-test and post-test sessions, and the data were analyzed using covariance analysis. The findings showed that spiritual self-esteem is an important psychological factor that affects health and quality of life, and this educational package of spiritual self-esteem with an Islamic approach can effectively help increase mental well-being.
