The relationship between spiritual well-being, moral intelligence and purpose in life

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between moral intelligence and purpose in life with spiritual well-being in high school students. This research is a correlational study and the sample size of the study is 250 high school students in Delfan city who were selected using multi-stage cluster sampling method. The instruments used were spiritual well-being questionnaire, moral intelligence and purpose in life. Data were analyzed by SPSS 18 software and analyzed by Pearson correlation test and regression analysis. The results of data analysis show that research variables have a significant relationship with each other and moral intelligence and purpose in life significantly predict part of the variance of spiritual well-being. In general, it can be said that purposefulness in life and achieving moral intelligence can lead to spiritual well-being.
