The aim of this study was to systematically identify and explain the psychological factors influencing marital commitment in Islamic sources. This qualitative research employed content analysis of religious texts. The study population consisted of authentic Islamic sources, including the Holy Qur'an and hadith collections. Data were collected and investigated using two strategies: keyword searches and open-text reading. The data analysis process was conducted in four stages: (1) collecting data systematically from Islamic texts to identify statements and concepts related to marital commitment; (2) immersing in the data and analyzing inferred content using semantic principles; (3) organizing the data and extracting influential factors; and (4) validating the findings through expert judgment and calculating CVR and CVI indices. The findings identified five key psychological factors affecting marital commitment: innate preparedness (ethnic roots and identity, Shiite believer temperament), personality maturity (existential development and psychological maturity, self-dignity, magnanimity), wisdom (rational thinking and foresight), moral character (benevolence, appreciation, gratitude), and religious commitment (religious orientation, faith-based adherence, belief in divine knowledge, monotheism, and eschatology). However, the factor of innate preparedness was excluded from the final model due to a CVI score below the acceptable threshold. The results showed that the factors influencing marital commitment in Islamic teachings are a multi-dimensional construct that include, in addition to psychological factors, moral and spiritual dimensions. these findings can provide an authentic theoretical foundation for formulating strategies of promoting marital commitment in Islamic societies, contributing to the production of indigenous knowledge in the realm of family psychology.
