The aim of the present study is to analyze the psychology of the wealthy rich “corrupt_Motrafin” and corrupt scholars from the perspective of the Holy Quran as two reference groups. To achieve this goal, first the criteria of the reference group and the reference group were explained from the perspective of contemporary science, and then by the method of qualitative content analysis, the verses related to the discussion were examined. For this purpose, the related words ”subordination_Tabe”, ”model_Osveh” and ”following_Eqtedae” were used. Given the importance of the two groups of rich people and corrupt scholars and their beneficial effect on society, these two groups were selected as the target community; Then, using the method of thematic interpretation, verses related to these two groups were analyzed and their characteristics were extracted from the Holy Quran. The findings showed that the characteristics of the erring people include repetition and insistence on the wrong path, prioritizing their interests over the truth, presenting false logic and stubbornness in the path of deviation and the characteristics of corrupt scholars. It included the use of unlawful and illegitimate property, the accumulation of wealth and non-payment of religious funds, the blocking of God’s way, the distortion of divine commandments, and the concealment of truth.
