Children are initially influenced by the family and the factors affecting it. Therefore, it is not possible to face children's behavioral problems without considering the influential members of the family, especially parents. The aim of this study is to identify the effectiveness of religious teachings about the relationship between spouses on reducing children's behavioral problems.
The research method is experimental, and the (control group, pretest and posttest) model is used. The statistical population of this study consists of all Qom's first grade of secondary school students and their parents who were selected through stratified random sampling. The Girls participating in this study responded to the Achenbach questionnaire. After organizing the experimental and control group, the researcher-developed educational package was taught to the experimental group’s parents and then the post-test was administered.
The obtained data through descriptive statistics were summarized. For answering the research questions, analysis of covariance was used. The results show that teaching of religious doctrines concerning spouses' relationships reduces children's general behavioral problems and their externalized issues. But the hypothesis was not proven regarding the internalized problems. The results also showed that demographic variables had no effect on children's behavioral problems.
Therefore, through intervening and changing the fundamentals of communication, personality traits and methods of conflict management, this educational package has been able to improve the process of relationship between spouses, and the relationship between parents and children.
