Marriage has been described as the most important and fundamental human relationship; Because it provides the foundation for family relationships and the upbringing of the next generation. On the other hand, the best means of human communication is dialogue and verbal communication; Because human beings can convey their needs and desires to each other in this way. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of verbal skills training with emphasis on Islamic sources on the level of family performance. The method of this research was experimental in the form of pre-test and post-test design with a control group. Participants in this study answered the McMaster Family Performance Questionnaire. The statistical population of this study was selected through cluster random sampling among all married women in the 15th district of Tehran who were not satisfied with their level of family performance. The obtained data were analyzed by inferential statistics analysis of covariance. The results show that teaching verbal skills based on Islamic sources has an effect on increasing the level of family performance and subscales of problem solving, communication, roles, emotional companionship, emotional integration, behavior control and overall performance. The results also show that demographic variables, education, age and age of marriage had no effect on increasing the level of family performance in the statistical sample. As a result, this educational package by intervening and making changes in the spouses' familiarity with religious patterns of verbal and non-verbal behavior in interaction with each other and achieving the best communication style, ie explicit and respectful style, has been able to make positive changes in the couple communication process and family performance. create.
